This is the first of many tutorials that I am going to present you on my blog.
Today my tutorial explains how to make a rose, with one of my favourites #techniques, but on the web you can find several alternatives.
What you will use are: red polymer clay (or whatever colour you like), a round die cutter, (I used a 9mm type but you can use the size you prefere) and a rolling pin.
The first step is to flatten the #clay, (I made it thin until it reached about a millimeter thick).
With the die cutter I chopped a series of circles that will be the petals of our rose; the more numbers of corollas we do, the larger and more particolar the flower will be.

Now that we have a satisfactory number of petals, let's start building the rose.
Working one of the small circles with fingers, we thin it to a shape that resemble a corolla, and then roll it up. This will be the main body, around which to attach the floral leafs that will form the #rose.

The #polymeric circles continue to be worked with the fingers, which are inserted gradually around the main piece. Meanwhile, the tips of the petals are worked to give it a more natural look (if you look for a more realistic effect, you can use this tool in the picture, called shell tool).

This technique satisfies me the most, cause allows me better customization.
That's all for today and we'll see you next time.
